Digital Pop's Martin Bean to stand on Fourth Plinth

Digital Pop’s in-house web developer, Martin Bean, will be standing on Trafalgar Square’s Fourth Plinth on Tuesday, September 15th.

Martin was chosen to participate in the three-month project which is being headed by Antony Gormley, the sculptor whose chief work includes the Angel of the North that stands at Gateshead near Martin’s current home town of Newcastle upon Tyne.

“It’s quite surreal to think about it,” said Martin. “To think that [Antony Gormley] delivered the iconic Angel of the North to Gateshead and now I’ve been chosen to represent the North East at another one of [Gormley's] projects in the nation’s capital, it’s just one of those unusual coincidences that takes a while to sink in.”

Martin won’t know what time he’ll be called up to the Plinth until the day before, when times are released. However, rest assured that we at Digital Pop will keep you updated with any additional information that should arise.
